This landing gear upgrade for the SkySeeker GT is recommended only with the brushless 2018 motor configuration which provides the necessary power for ground take-offs.
Please read these instructions completely before getting started. The alignment tips are important for smooth straight take-offs, with adjustments usually needed after each landing, especially hard landings.
(1) You will need the following tools.

| (2) Open the SkySeeker GT canopy and look for the landing gear slot in the black plastic servo tray. In low light, illuminate the landing gear slot from the inside using the flashlight. Mark the slot using a pen. | ![]() |
| (3) Carefully notch the skid and then cut a slot. |
|
| (4) Carefully cut off the tail skid. Shave to a smooth planar surface as shown. |
|
(5) Insert the forward gear set into the slot making sure it is fully seated.
(6) Insert the tail taking care not to clip the antenna wire. Seat the tail completely and evenly on the tail boom. Attach the tail wheel and tighten with the thumb nuts. |
|
(7) Place the SkySeeker GT on the ground and view head-on. Bend one or both sides of the forward landing gear wire as needed to level the wings. If the main wing is not parallel with the tail horizontal stab, check both for proper seating. Also check the alignment of all 3 wheels as shown below. These adjustments are almost always needed after each landing. Hard landings may also twist any or all of the wheels out-of-alignment. Usually the adjustments are easy to perform by hand. Your SkySeeker GT is now ready for a smooth and straight take-off.
