T-HAWK BRUSHLESS MOTOR INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

You will need the T-Hawk brushless motor hop-up kit shown here (item# 40215).

The following tools will make the job easier:

(1) With wire snips, cut and remove the forward wing post. Remove motor and speed controller.

(2) First note that there are 4 threaded holes in the brushless motor mounting face. The existing hole set corresponds to the pair that is more closely spaced. Insert the brushless motor to align with the holes in the spring steel retainer, housing and outer motor plate. Insert the mounting screws and tighten.

(3) Use the supplied cable tie to secure the ESC battery cable to the forward post as shown. Apply the cable tie around the battery cable first, leaving enough of an open loop to allow you to slide the forward post through. Then secure the cable tie around the post and press on the end-caps. Install the rear post set as well.

(4) Remove the adhesive covering on the included velcro moutning strip and press onto the ESC velcro. Position the ESC as shown and affix to the wall opposing the receiver.

(5) Note the sticker on the prop indicating which end to press onto the motor shaft. Press on the propeller while supporting the back end of the motor with a finger as shown. Insertion of about 3/16" is usually enough for a snug fit. Over forcing may make removal very difficult.

(6) Connect the ESC signal cable to the receiver making sure of proper polarity (black wire on same end as other cables).

(7) Power up the transmitter, attach a charged T-Hawk battery and test the motor. Note the motor will not arm until the throttle is first in the off position. If there is excessive noise or vibration, balance the prop.

That's all! You're good to fly with more performance then ever!
