I finally got a chance to fly my Thunderbat. I wanted a large clear field and a not too windy Sunday for the first flight. I go visit my Brother about 60 miles away every Sunday. He grows hay in that field so it is only good for flying after getting the hay baled and moved out, but most Sundays have been too wet or windy.
I have never flown using ailerons so I hoped to learn on the slow flying Bi-Plane I just bought. But that thing was a pile of trash after one minute of flight. I was nervous about tossing the Thunderbat into the air for the first flight, but I was amazed at how true it flew. The Thunderbat is fast even with the smaller battery and controls are accurate. I felt comfortable right away flying it. Thanks for a great plane!
I am still flying with the original wing on the T-Hawk, the spare wing has never been used. I have replaced the tail though. I learned on the T-Hawk and it can take lots of punishment - Great plane. My Skyseeker is a fine glider and all my landings have been good ones so far.
