Full Testimonials:
Hello,
I had a pleasant conversation on the phone yesterday with one of you
(John?) about my T-Hawk. I mentioned that I have had over 300 flights
with this plane, and the conversation turned to how many charges a NiMH
battery is capable of.
I log all my flights with my T-Hawk (329 since August of 2003), and
have gone through several battery packs, but I can tell you that my two
latest battery packs (900mAh) have logged 47 and 32 flights (charges)
respectively. While they don't have the zip or longevity that they had
when new, they are still going fine.
I would also like to add that I have flown at least once every month
since I got the plane, which in Rochester, NY means sometimes flying in
sub freezing temps with snow on the ground! I have created a set of
skis for the plane, and it flies wonderfully with them on, and I have
had landings where the plane has taxied over 30 feet through the snow,
as well as touch and goes in the snow. Might I suggest that you create
a set of skis for the plane?
Obviously I think the T-Hawk is a great plane!
Brian in Rochester, NY
We are so happy with the T-Hawk, that we have two of them. My first one was a birthday present 5 years ago, and it is still flying!!! We stopped counting flights when we got to 3,000. That is the truth, and up until this past weekend, I was flying on the first wing....I finally wore that one out. It is a great product, and it gets no less than 20 flights each weekend. I always have this plane and the SkySeeker every time I go flying with my other planes. The countless hours of enjoyment I have had with this plane just doesn’t stop, and I would recommend this plane to anyone....thanks....

What a great little airplane.
It takes a beating and keeps on ticking. I did not know how to fly when I bought
the T-Hawk. I had tried other "Easy" flyers and ended up breaking them. My T-Hawk
has hit the ground so hard that the nose was caved in. I pushed it out with
my thumb and it was fine. The 54" wing was great, and got me going even faster.
I now fly with the standard wing and (knock on wood) haven't crashed for a while.
I can land, but I can't tell you where I'll land yet. I love the airplane, the
company service has been great (had to order a replacement wing). I would recommend
this airplane to anyone learning to fly on their own, like I'm doing.

I started out with your E-Gull as my first airplane and was very impressed with it's value and durability, so much so, that I've recommended your T-hawk to many friends for their first airplane. This past weekend I was able to finally fly my brother's T-hawk at the beach. My brother set the controls at their most sensitive and I was absolutely amazed and what that airplane will do. So was my brother. He said, "He's never seen it do that before" when I executed 4 snap-rolls in a row. We flew large and small loops, wing overs, inverted flight, prop stands and general large swooping flight. Of course, my other brother wanted to try it too and he performed the impossible. We were flying at a soccer field surrounded by light poles, and you guessed it, he ran into one. Some kids started screaming when it hit the pole, did a 360 from the wing strike and then my brother powered it back up in the air and continued flying. Wish we had a video to show everyone what a tough bird this is. Thanks for building such a great airplane and we really love the improvements in the latest model. Keep up the good work.

The T-Hawk has proven to be everything that readytoflyfun says it is. I bought it because I needed a beginner plane for self-teaching, (along with the FMS flight simulator, a free download) and it needed to be rugged to put up with my mistakes. I have accidentally made a lawn-dart out of my T-Hawk a few times, and it comes back for more. With only minor repairs and re-adjustments, it is ready to go again. We're talking full-throttle nose-dive into the dirt too... After my first three crashes, I only broke off the vertical stabilizer, which I fixed with epoxy. About 20 "rough landings" later, I've finally creased both sides of the wing and one side finally cracked. I've epoxied it back together. I wonder how long I can make this first wing & vertical stabilizer last? I still have the mint-condition spares, which I'm trying to save until I'm done crashing & learning. The T-Hawk flies well in the wind, once you have a few low-wind flights under your belt. It has more motor than most beginner planes. People often recommend the GWS Slow-Stik or the Parkzone Slo-V. But when a beginner buys these planes, and finds out that anything more than a 3 mph wind grounds them, they are disappointed. Worse, they get impatient and fly in the wind anyhow, leading to an expensive crash. After about 30 flights, I've mastered the T-Hawk in the wind. (the wind lever lets up in the Chicago area...) As long as the wind isn't so strong that I can't make forward progress flying against it, I can fly. Just make sure to keep it kind of high when you're flying in that kind of wind. Those gusts can really throw you about, and you'll need room to correct. One downside of the T-Hawk is the stock electronics. They don't resist interference as well as a true hobby-grade 72 MHz radio & dual-conversion receiver. I'd recommend buying the T-Hawk without the radio gear and spending an extra $100-200 to get a good radio & receiver elsewhere. If you can't afford that, the stuff that comes with the T-Hawk works pretty well. I can't complain too much, as I have a T-Hawk with three NiMH batteries & beefed up landing gear for $213 to my door. The stock landing gear is cheezy, but unnecessary. The T-Hawk belly-lands just beautifully. The beefed up landing gear, I bought, but haven't even tried. A smooth belly-landing is so satisfying! Keep up the good work, readytoflyfun! Jeremy Z.

Dear RTFF, Last week, while flying at high altitude my T-hawk caught an air current and went down 1 mile away. Terraine made it hopeless to continue search. So, on Friday I went online and ordered a replacement. Less than 1/2 hour later a farmer down the road(1 mile) came to the door and said this plane flew in his barn door as if it knew where it was going. He returned the plane undamaged. I never thought that I would ever see that unit again. It's like the cat that came back. That thing has hit the ground, houses, rv, car. Through inovative repairs and spare parts it continues to fly in great shape. For 2 years now it has taken a beating, less often now that I'm a pretty good flier. For all of the above reasons, which you could use as a testimonial. You Folks are Great, Thanks Again,
Patrick R.

Hi all, Just wanted to contact you and let you know what an outstanding job you have done in the design and production of the T-Hawk. I received mine a couple of weeks ago and after only two sessions of trial and error I was up and flying, and this was on my own!! I am a total beginner to this hobby, and yes, I had a few hard crashes the first time out, but the T-Hawk took it like a champ. This plane is tough! I didn't have to constantly worry about replacing the propeller after each crash due to the design.....again good job! This thing practically flys itself! It glides great and allows a beginner like myself to bring it in nice and slow for smooth landings just by cutting the power. I can't wait to get back to the field to attempt some loops. My T-Hawk arrived at my house in great condition and had everything I needed to go out and fly. The package included extra wings, batteries, and props. What a bargain! Your website is simple and straight forward making it easy to find and order spare parts when needed, and the prices are very reasonable. Thanks again for creating a great product. Count me as a very satisfied customer. Sincerely, Mike

Three of us over fifty year old kids have just bought your RTF T-Hawks and are having a blast. I used to fly gas rc planes over 25 years ago and got tired of the mess, cost, and noise! Now I have rediscovered the fun of flying. Thanks Toytronix! I am teaching the other two oldtimers how to fly and hope you have a load of spare parts! Thanks for making a quality product at a great price,

I just wanted to say THANK YOU for making a sturdy affordable plane that's very fun at the same time. My first r/c experience was rather dismal. I finally got it all put together, waited a week for a windless day, then took it out only to have it crash and be totally destroyed within a few mins. I bought my T-hawk just last week and have already had several successful flights. I've even had a few crashes, but the T-hawk kept right on ticking, just a small peice of tape here or there to smooth out the surfaces and "voila!" I'm ready to fly again. Even if I have a really bad wreck, I know that I have spares of nearly every part. And replacements are available at very low prices. This is great work guys. A+++++++++++++++++

As a youngster I always enjoyed model planes, and I had many "U control" models with glow plug engines. I always wanted to purchase and fly a RC plane, but the build time and expense always kept me wishing and not buying. That was 30 years ago.
Last October a friend (Vinny) sent me to your web site and recommended I look into the T-Hawk. Before October 2004 had ended I had ordered and received my T-Hawk.
My T-Hawk was very easy to assemble, it took me even less time than advertised. I opted for the 900 mAh NiMH battery packs and I'm glad I did. I taught myself to fly in a few weeks and many crashes, all repairable I even rebuilt the servos once.
I live in New England and we have had a record breaking snowfall this winter. I enjoy flying my T Hawk so much that I often don snowshoes so I can walk out into the middle of the field and fly. I have been flying all winter at least once a week. I recently had two 17 minute flights!
The idea of an electric RC plane is wonderful! No more glow fuel, no more noise, no more battery to get the glow plug to fire up, no more cut fingers from the prop kick back during starting and no more glow fuel all over your hands and clothing.
I have been a private pilot for many years flying Cessna and Beechcraft aircraft. I now enjoy flying my T Hawk as much as I enjoy flying the real thing, and it cost me $75.00 per hour when I rent a Cessna 150!
Hats off to the nice folks at readytoflyfun. com They have a wonderful product with quick and friendly service when you need parts ( I have ordered many) and the T-Hawk is a superb product.

Just a note to thank all
of you for introducing me to the fun and thrills of the T-Hawk. Way back when
I was a boy, I wanted to get into model airplanes like my uncle. He had many
in his collection all beautiful hand assembled by him. He was proud of his collection.
For me I thought I could not afford the expense to get into model aircraft that you can fly. That is until I saw your web site and met the T-Hawk. I am here to tell you I am very impressed with the value of the entire transaction. What impressed me the most was the fact you realize that as a learning pilot I will crash a lot. So you include in your kit the OOPS extra parts to help me heal from my landing mistakes. I have to say I lived up to the new pilot reputation, I crashed a lot. That is when I really learned to respect the T-Hawk after several hard thud type crashes that would have destroyed most all others the T-Hawk had very little damage. One crash was so bad I had to take the battery out of the nose and dump out gravel from the crash. after a new propeller the Hawk flew again. My second and real respect came when I called your customer service line and talked to a wonderful lady that took a lot of time to help talk me through a check out of the airplane and some tips on how to fly it properly. (I guess when you fly it correctly it really does land not crash) She was extremely helpful and your staff could give lessons of customer service to many companies today. I cannot tell you enough how much I appreciate the T-Hawk and the premiere service of all your people. The T-Hawk is an incredible value and the service is real icing on the cake. thanks for helping a learning pilot like me learn to have fun and fly. That T-Hawk reminds me of my old Timex. "takes a licken and keeps on ticken" You have a super product thanks.

I am stationed in Iraq with A 4/3 Air Defense Artiliary. I ordered My plane (T-HAWK) and it arrived in 10 days, which is outstanding! I have never flown before and it was easy to assembel and easy to fly. I carshed the plane hard about 15 times before I finally rendered it unflyable. The wings are good but the support in the wings does not run the full length of the wing which is great for stability and gives some forgiveness to new pilots but they were not very sturdy after the first few crashes, and if you are new, you WILL crash. I ended up using a hanger and Duct Taped it to the bottom of the wing to strengthen the weakend wings. It still flew fine. It is a real trooper but I recommend the PREDATOR if you think you are up to it. The parts are not as expensive and the wing supports extend through almost the entire wing..... All in All this is a super durable plane and a great value. Just be ready to spend more money on some small new parts when you crash it.

This plane (T-HAWK) is flat out the toughest plane ever. On my first flight, I discovered Ihad a faulty transmitter when the plane crashed real hard, but nothing broke. I then contacted the company and the for free, mailed me the replacement part and paid for the shipping of the faulty transmitter back to them. This plane flies great, I've never flown one before but it was fairly easy. My hint: dont fly in wind until youre more experienced. also: dont fly by dogs in the park, I had a boxer attempt to eat my plane then when I ran over to the plane it wanted to eat me, (yikes). The plane is easy to assemble and the price is unbeatable. It also comes with a bunch of extra parts and an extra battery.

Ok. All I can say is Awesome!!! The T-Hawk is amazing! My kids (ages 14, 10 and 8) and I went out to fly the T-Hawk today for the first time. We received it last week and had not had a chance until today to fly it. I have never flown an R/C plane in my life. I had not even seen one fly! Then my kids saw some movie with a remote control plane in it and asked if we could get one. I researched for one hour on the net and a bunch of people mentioned the t-hawk. I ordered it that night. It went together in about 20 minutes. I charged the batteries this week and was ready to try it this weekend. The wind was low today so we took it out. I know beginners were supposed to launch from the ground but the area we were in was a big grass field with no runway so my son threw it by hand and I’ll be darned if my first flight ever worked great. I followed the instructions in the manual and did a circle or two before I got disoriented and nose dived into the ground. It hit hard but no damage. The motor wires came undone and that was it. We flew the thing for the next hour and had a blast. This plane is a blast. More people need to know about it. For $150 it is a great way to have a bunch of family fun. My girls will try to fly it next weekend after I get it up in the air for them and cut the motor. I just wanted to say thanks for making such a great little gadget. And thanks for making it so tough. We pounded it a few times and had no major damage!!! Please let me know where I can post a message to spread the word about this plane. I am not sure which groups or forums cover R/C planes but point me there and I’ll say a good word for you guys! ..... You probably hear this stuff all the time! Good luck with your company!

Oh Boy am I excited!!!! Tonight I flew my T-Hawk for the first time and I DID!!!! .... You said the T-Hawk would fly in some wind and most of all, every time someone told about their real world experience with your airplanes, the planes were still alive. And no one ever complained that the T-Hawk did not live up to its mission. No one! Well, add me to the list. I bought a third battery. I was amazed that I was able to fly 4 or 5 flights with the optional 900mAh batteries. I probably few at least 12 flights tonight and still had enough in the last battery pack for a few more. Another local RC flier also came by and I offered him a flight. He was very experienced and very impressed. My real amazement was that every landing, on grass resulted in a smooth landing with no crashes, no cartwheels! But the real joy came on my third flight when my neighbor asked "will it do a loop?" I had read it would in several reviews if you added some speed in a shallow dive, so I set on up and tried it. I hit the rudder accidentally in my excitement at the top of the first one and rolled out of it, but on the second attempt I succeeded with a nice round loop! Yea, I had some difficulty at times with orientation but my neighbor just recommended to turn to the high wing if I got disoriented, and it worked for me to learn how to control the plane when it was coming towards me. And yes, I did get the plane really out of shape a few times but I just gave it a tough of up then took my hand off the stick and it recovered pretty much on its own. The slow flight speed but with enough power to push through some breeze was great for a beginner. Most of the time I flew at half throttle or less. The speed control let me learn to feel the different trim needed at different speeds. My neighbor was so impressed by the lack of gas and oil he headed to his house to figure out how he could configure a plane for electric. Well, I know this is probably too long for a testimonial. But I am just so excited and figured that if there was ever a time to write to you this would be the most accurate of my experience. Please excuse any typos, but as I said, I am just so EXCITED!!!!

I just bought your T-HAWK plane. WOW !!! What a flying experience ,What a craft. I pulled it out of the box, charged my batteries and went to the field. On my first flight I just wanted to get up and fly. It was late almost sundown there was about a 20-25 mph winds, I started off with a light toss and I was up and away.... I get up early before work and can't wait to get off of work to fly the craft. I have flown it for over six hours I have had some minor crashes but this is no uh-oh bird this is a true HAWK , a T-HAWK !!! The best Bang for your buck ... I say Thank You for this craft

This company is devoted to making RC flight easy and inexpensive for the beginner while leaving them with equipment that will still be useful after theyve mastered the basics. Unlike some other similar product offerings, the planes from Ready To Fly Fun succeed magnificently and leave the beginner well on their path at minimal cost. I cannot overstate how well they do what they do, or how thoroughly they support their products. If every company operated this way wed actually think of business as something to be proud of! I just wish they also offered an aileron plane for moving into the intermediate phase -- but Im not sure thats a viable market, as most folks have probably learned enough by then to want to fool around with a more specialized design. There is no better place to begin an RC flying education than with the T-Hawk. And even after it has been mastered, its still a blast to practice glider landings or just watch it float all the way across a field from ground effect. (Which is not to imply it lacks anything in powered flight -- it has a strong motor and a completely reasonable control range). Great company, great people, great products, great service. But maybe even more important, great fun!

I've had an absolute blast so far with the T-Hawk. I often fly down on the beach here in Pismo Beach, CA. The T-Hawk has enough punch to keep it interesting, slows down for great fly-bys, and its wind-handling is quite remarkable. Pismo is a kite-surfing mecca, and I've put the T-Hawk up on many GUSTY days and gotten it back down in one piece. In fact, it's built so well, the only damage it's sustained to date is a bend and fracture in the horizontal stabilizer that was easily repaired with epoxy. I'm still flying on the original parts, after twenty-plus outings, and I consider this my first REAL RC plane! (I had an Hobby Zone Outlaw, but it wouldn't handle ANY wind, and it had no performance to keep it interesting after a few flights). The T-Hawk, given an adequate flight area, is a great buy for a beginner that holds interest more than a couple of weeks. Thanks for delivering a plane at a very reasonable price.

My T-Hawk worked out very well. It arrived in just a couple days. I have had several good flights with it now and I am getting the hang of flying. I have never flow R/C before and I have no instructor. I crashed a few times and let me tell you it can take a lot of punishment. I had one really bad crash. I went into dive to long and to hard before attempting a loop and tried to pull up to late. I lost control and it smashed into the ground at a pretty high velocity. I picked it up, put on the spare wing and tail set, and was off flying again (a little more carefull mind you). I was completely amazed the fuselage survived the crash. There is a pretty good dent in the nose but it did not shatter or crack which was quite impressive. Learning to fly the T-Hawk is pretty easy. After a few flights even I had it under good control and could get it to go where I wanted and land where I wanted. I have a few small gripes/comments. It would be nice if the landing gear were a bit better. (a wheel came off on first landing and the wheels are just cheap molded plastic) I have been hand launching it and landing it on its belly just fine for now until I fix it. Also it would be nice if the charger shut itself off after a full charge. I probably have shortened the life battery already by just forgetting to take the battery off of the charger. Unless this is fixed I highly recommend the peak charger that is sold separately or purchase one through a hobby store that will charge 7 cell NiCad packs. It would also be nice if flight times were a bit longer and if it included a proportional speed control (as opposed to on or off). Last but not least, come on guys orange? How about a nice red? That all said, it is hard to beat getting into R/C flying for less than $150 with everything you need not to mention a lot of spare parts included. I would highly recommend the T-Hawk to any beginner R/C pilots.

My
neighbors and I have been getting together every Sunday morning for about a
year to fly RC We have all purchased the hobby zone aero bird which was a big
disappointment in the control of it. The elevons were to small to steer the
plane in any kind of breeze. And we still were in (HURRICANE) UT So we crashed
an smashed. Hobby zone offered a larger tail with larger elevons so we bought
them. And when a breeze came we crashed and smashed. We thought the only way
to control them was to build a astro dome. Well we were about 65 million dollars
short. So we made tails out of corigated plastic with huge elevons and finally
we were flying in (HURRICANE) UT with aerobirds we flew in the mornings when
it was pretty calm but still by 9:00 A M the (HURRICANE) UT winds would come.
And so our flying day was over. Well I saw your ad on E ZONE.com for your T-HAWK
and printed a copy out to show my neighbors to see what they thought about your
product. No one was interested in buying another plastic non controllable plane
that we would have to speed hours modifying to get to fly in (HURRICANE) UT.
Well everyone’s aerobirds are barely flying and the only way to keep them flying
is to buy the whole thing over again some of them have dropped out from flying
because the electronics are shot or the Fuse is busted beyond repair and you
cannot just get the piece you need you have to purchase the whole Fuse assy.
Well I took a chance and purchased your T-HAWK with out the transmitter and
receiver I got it Friday and put a receiver I had from a old plane in it and
had it ready to go in about 15:minets. Well Sunday morning came and every one
showed up with or with out a plane and I showed them the T-HAWK they wanted
to see it fly. So off it went WOW the best dam out of the box plane I have ever
flown. Every one flew it. And when the wind came we still flew and when the
wind gusted we still flew and we were able to control it in (HURRICANE) UT we
flew all day with no mishaps. Now every one is going to be getting T-HAWKS.
And we can fly all day. Thanks Lanie and neighbors.

I LOVE the remote-controlled plane I ordered from Toytronix. I ordered the T-Hawk ready-to-fly r/c airplane, and flying it is an absolute blast! I am extremely satisfied with this retailer, the plane arrived very quickly after I ordered it, and it significantly exceeded my expectations. I ordered replacement parts for it (due to my own poor flying, not the product), they were cheap, and they arrived very quickly. I am extremely happy with this retailer, and I encourage anyone reading this to do business with them.
The T-Hawk is a remarkable product, a virtually indestructible remote-control plane that is a lot of fun, easy to learn and fly, and hard to damage with crashes and "hard landings." It is a great value, for anyone looking for a low-priced entry into remote-controlled flight it's sure winner. Loops, dives, climbs, turns, you name it, the T-Hawk does it, and does it well.

I am the proud owner of a T-Hawk, and have to say what a wonderful plane you have created. I have watched all the T-Hawk videos though, and am somewhat dissapointed. There is no video demonstrating what an aerobatic plane the T-Hawk can be. The only one that demonstrates aerobatics shows the T-Hawk doing some "fair" loops. I can perform quadruple loops, immelmans, hammerheads.. .all sorts of neat maneuvers with my T-Hawk. You guys have a much better plane IMO than the aerobird, but the aerobird videos demonstrate wild aerobatics that your videos lack....the T-Hawk is actually more capable of aerobatics than the aerobird, set it on the lowest hole on the control horn and look out! Perhaps a new video would demonstrate the planes capabilities, and advertise it on ezone as you did the hi-cam vid (which was a cool video, but still doesn't demonstrate T-Hawk capapbilities). Anyway, it bugs me to see so many people go on about the aerobird when I know from first hand experience the T-Hawk is the more impressive flyer. Just a thought. Thanks for your time, and look forward to see your next project!!

I bought a T-Hawk from toytronix
December 11, 2002. I was just e-mailing you to thank you for making a super
durable plane. I have wrecked this plane no less than 35 times , and have only
had to replace a rudder, wing, and a prop all of which were included with my
plane. I tried to fly for the first time in a small area with a bit too much
wind. It still flies, although it is a little crooked in flight working on that
problem at the moment. This has been a great starter plane. I can't brag more
about this plane. It has held up thru some horrible nose dives. Thank you for
making a great starter plane!
